· 1993-1996 Founder and artistic director of the former dance group “Silpasree.” · 1980-1996 Directed & Choreographed Dance Productions in collaboration with various multicultural and other dance events. This was given for the tour company Butterfield and Robinson. I was hired as a “Local Cultural Specialist” by the company. Carried out anthropological and art oriented talks & presentations related to Indian culture. - Ongoing “Rhythms of India” dance workshops and performances for Quebec school children for the organization “Amaragge Sans Frontier” (Cultures without Borders). - Workshop: “Rhythms of India” for the “Divalution” project. This was organized by the Town of Banff. This position included research into the art, music, dance & cultural way of life of various cultures.

This school was founded by nobel prize winning poet Rabindranath Tagore. For all the years I trained in various forms of Classical / Sacred, Rabindrik, Poetry & Folklorique dance traditions; along with poetry, music and various aspects of Indian sacred art.
· Dance education started at the age of four by my mother Shipra Bhattachareya who was an accomplished dancer from Lucknow, India. Dance education has continued throughout my whole life. First formal performance was at the age of 6. I started teaching dance the age of 16.
